You see, I'm not a lawyer or an accountant, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night listen to a CPA talk about the topic on a podcast one day. And then I took the key information from that podcast and built a story around it.

The article went way longer than I intended when I wrote it. There's a fair bit of sleep-deprived loopiness mixed into this one. It was fun to write. I hope you find it fun to read.

I happen to think this is one of the best–and most entertaining–primers on the subject. But, then, I'm a bit biased.
